Default CA/TA - Timed Battle Strategy

Anhilation is anihilation...just kill them all.

When you have the "most kills in 3 minutes" type battles, when should a team lean towards starting the battle straight away vs. waiting till the last few seconds or Sudden Death to go for a spike win?

I'm almost always a proponent of the former but that's because I don't use a character that spikes...

1. Is it ever a good idea to wait in CA?

2. In TA, should a spiking team hope for the spike win or just "play it straight" since a good, coordinated team should consider themselves as having a competitive advantage?

in CA, and sometimes even in TA, you cant really know who your fighting against beforehand. So you may have a build with lots of power, or not. Personally, i like to wait for SD and organize a strategy and wipe 1 guy out in about 10 seconds.

Usually works, except for those times when they have like 2 or 3 monks.....eeew

ever meet a team of 3 monks and bonding each other all over the place while your team just happen to have no enchantment control in CA?

ouch

patience ftw

on topic:
I usually just rush out anyway, and pray... because you won't be wining if you got no monk and they got a real good one. (for CA that is)

TA, really depend on the build. Know your strength.

In CA you basically have to go straight in. Your allies will have no concept of strategy and any strategy you organize they will ignore. If you wait to long they grow impatient and will often times do stupid things. At the same time they are often afraid to go in first. You just have to take charge and force a conflict getting as many of your teammates participating as possible.

In team arenas if you have a spike team, waiting until the last minute is not necessarily an advantage. You don't know exactly what they are running. It would be far better to go in, spike a few members of their team and get the numeric advantage. At this point you can then fall back (as a team) and force them to fight on your terms. If necessary you can kite the rest of the match until you win, but this way you also have an opportunity to react should your spike fail.
